I didn't know wether this should have gone under fanart, Fantasy, or Sci-Fi.... but I decided on Sci-fi. It's a Tau Firewarrior from Warhammer 40,000 (40K) I just really like the armor they wear, not to mention their race has a very nifty backstory to go along with it. Drawn and shaded with pencil and colored in Photoshop.
This looks fantastic. It really does. I particularly like the bare head illustration, you did a fantastic job.
As an aside, the only thing that stands out is more of a background insight. The stock on the pulse rifle is drawn as hollow here, but in the land of the Tau, even the elongated Pulse Rifle is a bullpup design, so this area would be filled with ammunition (it is confusing because of the area infront of the trigger that looks like an ammunition cartridge... it is more akin to a hand guard).
Only one thing wrong. The feet should be the brown of the cloth, and the "hooves" black. Why? Tau dont have hooves. Those things you see are there equivalent of boots. Other than that little thing that eats away at me from the inside, fine job yah did!
Because you're associated with something does not give you superior knowledge of that field, just the same with the accomplishments of an ethnicity and an individual of that ethnicity. The reason I say they do not actually have hooves is because it is unspecified in the codex, but is in the Black Library publication "Xenology", which includes an autopsy and interview with a Tau. The autopsy shows three toed feet, but suggests that said feet are likely to have evolved from hooves. It also goes on to say that their feet aren't as robust than the rest of their body, possibly hinting at a need for uniform footwear, which would explain why all to nearly all tau have black "hoof" boots.
is it a Shaz-ui or a Shaz-la?

Great Job, Really
