Just a drawing I was working on while listening to some Metroid music... I wanted to try my hand at the whole 'Samus emerging from her suit' thing. And this is what I came up with... I would have liked the mechanical aspect to come out better, but oh well, I'm not really a mechanical artist, so this is what yeh get. I'll try to color this at some point during the week, maybe tomorrow.

EDIT* I fixed it up alittle (like her face isn't so wonky now) and made it alittle darker. I'm just about ready to color it. Sorry to all of those who have been waiting for this to be colored, please be patient.

Metroid music--both remixes and original tracks--are inspirational. They have a very 'alone,' claustrophopic feel, which has personally helped with a number of pieces.

You got this down VERY well. I've never felt Metroid was mechanical enough to warrant being lobbed into the 'mecha' lot, so the amount you put it fits. That, and Samus in her body-suit is pretty much the central figure of it.

My conly complaint is her nose--it looks too pixie-ish, a child's nose almost. Too small, and is out-of-place with the rest of her face.
